Taking the step to seek counselling can feel overwhelming, but I’m here to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible. Here’s what you can expect when working with me:

Step 1
Your decision
Making the decision to seek counseling is the first and often most significant step. You’ve decided that you could benefit from support, and that’s a brave and meaningful choice.
Step 2
Contact
Reach out using the contact form on this website. I’ll get in touch with you to discuss your needs and assess whether I’m the right person to support you on this journey.


Step 3
Consent Form
If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you an informed consent form. This document outlines important information about confidentiality, your rights, and my policies. It’s an opportunity for you to understand how I work and ask any questions.
Step 4
Appointment
Once you’re comfortable with the terms, we’ll schedule an appointment at a time that works for both of us. Sessions can take place at either Rangiora or Leithfield, depending on your preference.


Step 5
First Session
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know the unique person you are within your unique context. We’ll talk about your hopes for counselling, the challenges you’re facing, and the outcomes you’d like to work toward.
Step 6
The Journey
You’re now on your counseling journey, and I have the privilege of accompanying you. Together, we’ll work through your challenges at your pace. If you’re open to it, I may suggest home activities or exercises to support your progress and speed up the process.
