Anxiety Counselling in Rangiora
Anxiety can show up in many different ways. For some people, it feels like constant worry and overthinking. For others, it may be difficulty relaxing, feeling on edge, racing thoughts, self-doubt, or a sense that the mind never truly switches off.
You may find yourself replaying conversations, imagining worst-case scenarios, avoiding situations that feel uncomfortable, or feeling exhausted from carrying so much responsibility. Anxiety can also affect sleep, relationships, confidence, and the ability to enjoy daily life. Anxiety can sometimes be linked to difficult past experiences. Counselling provides an opportunity to slow down and understand what may be contributing to these patterns. Rather than simply trying to get rid of anxiety, we can explore what it may be trying to communicate and develop new ways of responding to it.
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. I draw on counselling, parts work, and Interactive Drawing Therapy to help people understand their thoughts, emotions, and inner experiences. Together, we work to build greater awareness, self-compassion, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.
If you are struggling with anxiety and would like support, I welcome you to get in touch.
