The effects of difficult childhood experiences can continue long after the events themselves have passed. Sometimes this may be obvious, while at other times people simply notice recurring patterns in their lives without fully understanding where they come from.

You may struggle with anxiety, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, trust, relationships, or a persistent feeling of not being good enough. Some people find themselves reacting strongly in certain situations, while others have learned to disconnect from their emotions in order to cope. These responses often developed for good reasons. They may have helped you manage difficult circumstances when you were younger. However, the same patterns can sometimes create challenges later in life.

In counselling, we work at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My approach combines counselling, parts work, and Interactive Drawing Therapy to help explore experiences that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. Together, we seek to understand how the past may still be influencing the present and develop new ways of relating to yourself and your experiences.

Healing does not require forgetting the past. It often begins with understanding it differently and discovering new possibilities for the future.
